Queensland knows flooding. And so do we.
South East Queensland doesn’t do things by halves when it comes to water. The 2011 Brisbane floods were the worst in the city’s modern history. The Brisbane River peaked at 4.46 metres, inundating thousands of homes across Rocklea, Oxley, Graceville, and Chelmer. Then, just over a decade later, February 2022 brought it all back. Unprecedented rainfall pushed the river to 3.85 metres, flooding parts of South Brisbane, New Farm, and West End all over again. Some properties had barely finished their last round of repairs.
And it’s not just the river. The Gold Coast is a subtropical city. Summer thunderstorms arrive fast and dump enormous rainfall in short bursts. Streets in Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, and Varsity Lakes can turn into rivers before most people even realise a storm is on the way. Even moderate downpours cause flash flooding in low-lying areas like Robina and Carrara.
The region’s housing stock adds another layer of challenge. Classic Queenslander homes are beautiful elevated timber structures that are actually well designed for flooding, but their sub-floors can collect and hold moisture for weeks. Post-flood mould under the house is one of the most common calls we receive in the Brisbane metro. On the Gold Coast, modern high-density apartments and townhouses often lack adequate drainage, turning basements and car parks into swimming pools during a downpour.
It’s been this way for decades, and it’s getting more frequent. When it happens, you need someone who moves fast.
That’s where we come in.

Because we know South East Queensland, and we’ve got the gear, the credentials, and the track record to back it up.
Case study: Rocklea home, Brisbane
After the February 2022 flood event, a couple in Rocklea called us just as the waters were starting to recede. We were on-site within the hour.
Thermal imaging showed significant moisture not just in the carpets, but deep under the sub-floor. Exactly what we expected for a property that close to the Brisbane River. We extracted standing water, deployed underfloor drying mats, set up high-capacity LGR dehumidifiers, and applied anti-microbial treatment to stop mould before Queensland’s humidity could get to work on it.
We monitored moisture levels across four days and provided a full drying validation report for their insurer. By day five, the house was certified dry and floorboard repairs could begin.
"We were absolutely dreading it. We'd been through 2011 too. But these guys showed up fast, explained everything clearly, and had us back on track within a week. Couldn't have asked for more."
-- Janelle & Mark, Rocklea

Absolutely. It's one of the most common jobs we do in Brisbane. We use underfloor drying mats and targeted dehumidification to dry beneath elevated timber floors without lifting the boards.
In SE Queensland's heat and humidity, mould can begin growing within 24 hours, faster than in cooler states. That's exactly why speed matters more here. The sooner we're on-site, the better.

Water damage gets worse by the hour. In Queensland’s subtropical heat, mould can follow within 24 hours of a flood event. The longer you wait, the higher the cost and the harder the repair.
